Two Canucks in Top Ten at US Open; Taylor Top Amateur

Mike Weir and Stephen Ames shared tenth place at the US Open completed today at Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, New York. The event was won today by Lucas Glover by two strokes over Phil Mickelson, David Duval and third and second round leader Ricky Barnes.
Top amateur for the event was Abbotsford, B.C.'s Nick Taylor who finished with a share of 38th place.
Todd Fanning of Winnipeg is the only golfer to record a hole-in-one on a par-4 in the history of the Canadian Tour. Fanning aced the 309-yard par-4 6th hole at Gorge Vale GC during the 2001 Shell Payless Open
